angela_thA star in herself! Angela started doing the O15 Workout with Senior Momentum after a hospital stay in the spring. She had a fall and the doctors gave her another prescription, a cane, and many restrictions.

Working with seniors gives self confidence and balance. Mastering your body at any age is important but for seniors independence is gold. The O15 Senior Momentum workout gives them just what they need.

Angela worked out here for around two to three months and one day came in with a testimony: For years, she couldn’t reach the top shelf in her kitchen cabinet and would always have to ask her husband for help getting things for her or to help boost her onto a chair. The gift she gave herself working out twice a week : she got to that shelf by herself. What an accomplishment! Our seniors keep moving by standing still.

tinastonerod_thO15 has given me my confidence back.  I started the first week in May attending 3 times per week, however since July; I have been attending 2 times per week.  At first both me and my husband were attending, but due to his recent knee surgery, he has taken a sabbatical and intends on rejoining when he is physically able.

Since I signed up for O15, my life has changed in many many ways.  As the result of menopause I have put on weight.  No matter what I did, walking, running, belly dancing, etc….nothing worked.  I tried Weight Watchers, Atkins Diet, South Beach, you name it.  Nothing worked.  I became resigned to the way I looked.  Since I was already in my sixties, what was the use of trying anything else?

One day, a friend at work told me about O15.  I was so excited but could not grasp the concept behind it and how it actually worked.  She invited me to go for a free evaluation and observe what goes on.  One evening both I and my husband went and we were instantly hooked.  Not only are the trainers extremely educated about the product, but are in great physical shape.  The trainers make you feel so at home, and the atmosphere is not typical of any gym I ever attended.  There are no machines; only a minimum of weights, 2 x 4′s and benches!!!!

O15 means fifteen minute workout, and it is truly only 15 minutes.  It does not interfere with my lifestyle, so it does not put pressure on my already stressful days.

Since I started I began to see gradual changes in my body.  I feel toned, my posture is incredible.  I don’t have to hold my stomach in anymore; I actually can get into pants that use to be tight, and my legs look thinner; not to mention my arms that were like jelly are getting tight and looking shapely!!!!  What else could a woman my age want?

I look forward to the continuing changes as I advance with the program.  I never looked at exercise like this before.  I love the compliments I am receiving, but mostly, I love the way I feel!

Ben

ben_thAs a young man, Ben Barretta was a naturally gifted athlete who worked hard to achieve success in several sports. In 1947 he led South Philadelphia High School to glory on the gridiron where earning all public honors as a running back. He also excelled as a centerfielder for the baseball team.

After high school, Ben married his wife of 57 years, Angela, and together they raised 8 children : 5 boys and 3 girls. The boys all participated in sports and Ben kept active and healthy through coaching and exercise. Even in his late forties, Ben could still compete against athletes half his age.

That all changed when Ben was diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, a condition that affects a person’s balance and makes it difficult to walk.

After a decade of declining ability, Ben underwent major surgery and had a CSF shunt placed in his brain to drain the fluid. The procedure improved his balance, but after 10 years of inactivity and muscle atrophy, he had an extremely difficult time walking. When physical therapy and attempts at a typical regimen of light exercise such as water aerobics and infomercial equipment failed, he finally allowed his son Mike to help.

Mike had developed the O15 Workout, a revolutuionary new method of combined strength and aerobic conditioning. The workout can be tailored to any person’s starting condition, even a 78 year old man with a decade of inactivity under his belt. Ben began on a 3 day per week schedule of this modified version of the workout, now called Senior Momentum.

After 6 months of this thrice weekly regimen, Ben’s results are nothing short of a miracle. He has regained his ability to walk normally and is enjoying his newfound independence. In addition, he looks and feels 15 years younger. The O15 Workout and Senior Momentum have succeeded where traditional methods of physical therapy and exercise failed him, improving his both his quality of life and his body, inside and out.

Bea

bea_thBea, a 90 year young lady with a great smile, faithfully comes in and works out twice per week. For years, Bea has been and still is a seamstress. The many years of bending over while sewing left her round shouldered and bentover. She also needed a cane just to get around.

After doing the Senior Momentum O15 Workout for just two months, her shoulders relaxed and her back straightened. She was delighted with her progress. One month later she was able to attend a party without the assistance of her cane.

We are so happy with Bea’s commitment and most of all Bea is happy with herself. As she does her workout, she is taking charge of her body, making herself stronger. She hopes others will join her with the Senior Momentum and see the benefits as she has. Age is not a factor in becoming active and healthy!
